Important Notice: Effective immediately, the DEERS/RAPIDS ID Card Office has updated its operational hours and policies. Please review the schedule and requirements below before your visit.

To better serve you, we operate on a strict walk-in schedule. No appointments are accepted. Customers arriving outside these designated days and hours will be directed to return during the next scheduled walk-in period.

Required Documentation

You are responsible for bringing all required documentation for your specific service type. Guard personnel cannot process requests without them.

Arrival & Capacity Limits
  • First-Come, First-Served: Services are rendered in the order of arrival.
  • Priority Access: Active-duty personnel and their families have priority.
  • Daily Cut-off: Once the maximum capacity for the day is reached, no additional individuals will be accepted.

The service door closes promptly at 12:00 p.m. Arriving early is highly encouraged.

Temporary Closure of DEERS/RAPIDS ID Card Office

The DEERS/RAPIDS ID Card office is closed until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

TRANSIENT QUARTERS

Transient Quarters is temporary lodging while on official travel or other transient assignments

Eligible Personnel

Transient quarters are reserved exclusively for individuals directly supporting military exercises or the JUSMAGTHAI mission. No exceptions will be made.

Eligible personnel include:

  • Active-Duty Service Members traveling under official Temporary Duty (TDY) orders
  • Reserve and National Guard Members on active-duty orders
  • U.S. Department of State (DoS) Civilians on official travel orders
  • U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Civilians on official travel orders

Defense Language Proficiency Tests (DLPTs)/ Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI)

Most federal government agencies rely on the Defense Language Proficiency Test, or DLPT, and the Oral Proficiency Interview – OPI, which are reliable, scientifically validated tools for testing language ability of DOD personnel worldwide.

DLPT Request

To submit a Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) request, please email Jusmagthai@state.gov with the following details:

  • Full Name
  • Grade
  • DODID Number
  • Language
  • Requested Date

OPI Request

To submit an Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) request, please email Jusmagthai@state.gov with the following details:

  • Full Name
  • Grade
  • DODID Number
  • Language
  • MOS/AFSC/Rate
  • Three preferred test dates (all tests begin at 09:30)

INDOOR GYM

Our fitness center is available daily, providing flexible workout options for early birds and evening exercisers alike. Plan your fitness routine around your work schedule with our extended hours.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Monday – Friday: 5:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Saturday – Sunday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

AUTHORIZED USERS

The gym and its equipment are provided jointly by the Thai Coordinating Authority and JUSMAGTHAI as a service to MWR-eligible personnel, U.S. Embassy – TCA employees, and other bona fide guests who comply with the facility’s rules and regulations.

Multi-Function Center (MFC)

In Loving Memory of Mr. Uthumporn “Lek” Klaicharoen

On February 16, 2025, a solemn and heartfelt funeral ceremony was held to honor the life and legacy of Mr. Uthumporn Klaicharoen, a respected former staff member of JUSMAGTHAI, who dedicated over 30 years of exceptional service to the organization. The ceremony brought together his family, close friends, retired colleagues, and current JUSMAGTHAI personnel, all united in remembrance and gratitude.

The presence of both retired and current JUSMAGTHAI colleagues reflected the deep respect, admiration, and lasting relationships he cultivated throughout his career. His legacy of dedication and integrity will continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones, and we honor his memory with profound appreciation for a lifetime of service.

May he rest in peace

COL Kurt Leffler graciously served as the presiding officer for the ceremony, offering meaningful words in tribute to Mr. Uthumporn’s decades of service, professionalism, and enduring contributions. Known for his steadfast commitment, kind demeanor, and collaborative spirit, Mr. Uthumporn left a lasting mark on the organization and in the hearts of those who worked alongside him.

APO/DPO are U.S. Postal Service facilities that handles mail for active-duty personnel stationed overseas that operates at one of the Department’s missions aboard as a branch post office of the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).

Hours of Operation:  MON – FRI except holidays  10:30 – 16:00
